Smoking Loon The Original Old Vine Zinfandel is a striking deep, inky purple colour in the glass. Aromas of ripe raspberry, black cherry, peppercorn and toasted coconut lift from the glass. This rich, medium-bodied wine is full of flavour with loads of fresh red fruits; raspberry, pomegranate and a healthy dose of that classic Zinfandel spice. A selection of thirteen vineyards sourced from a diverse spread of sub regions ranging from near Williamstown in the far south to Ebenezer in the far north of the Barossa are utilised. Vineyards are concentrated in the far south and north of the Barossa Valley to drive the style required for St Hugo. The diversity of this fruit sourcing is to achieve the 'power' from low yielding, mature Shiraz vines and 'elegant' parcels from vineyards showing more restraint and structure.

This Merlot presents lifted aromas of blackberry and plum with overlying savoury toasty notes present from barrel maturation. It is full in flavour, with a soft tannin structure, and flavours of dark berries and leather.

This Pinot Noir presents smokey and spicy oak with black cherries and boysenberry notes on the nose that lead into Black Doris plum, dark chocolate and berry fruit on the palate. The palate is rich and fleshy with soft supple tannins. This is a finely structured and textural wine.
